Our story starts back in 1998 when my mother took an old rail car and renovated it into an ice cream shop. At first we sold a popular name brand ice cream. Then in early 2002 my husband and I took a three day ice cream class in North Carolina. From that point on we have been making our own product. It is our mission to use the finest and freshest ingredients possible. Our ice cream mix comes from a local dairy in Windham and our own goats supply us with the milk for our gelato.

The Caboose is currently closed for the season. We will be making ice cream for Thanksgiving as well as the Holidays. We are also in the process of construction on a new building where we can make ice cream year round. Stay tuned for more details!
